Main EU directive of CE standard

The main contents of EU directive for lamps as below:
A. Low Voltage Directive 73/23/EEC
While operating voltage rang with 50~1000V power supply, the lamps must conform to EN60598 safety standard.
B. EMC Directive 89/336/EEC
The lamps must conform to EN55015 EMC standards and current harmonic standards etc.
C. Directive 94/62/EEC on packaging and packaging waste
Polyform is not allowed to use and the content of harmful heavy metals can not be very high.
EN60598 Standards
●EN60598-1:2003 Luminaires-Part 1: General requirements and test
It includes all the safety requirements and test items of lamps which operating voltage
from 0V to1000V.
EN60598-2-1:2003 Specification for fixed general purpose luminaires
EN60598-2-4:1998 Portable general purpose luminaires
EN60598-2-6:1995 Luminaries with built-in transformers or convertes for filament lamps
EN60598-2-10:2003 Specification for portable child-appealing luminaires
EN60598-2-23:1997 Extra low voltage lighting systems for filament lamps
